Ham Radio – A contact sport

The Zero QSL buro sent an envelope of cards this week. I’ll start off by saying how appreciative I am of the volunteers who donate their time and resources to making the DX QSL buro systems work. They have undoubtedly saved me many dollars and hassles over the years by streamlining the whole QSL process. However, this week, the envelope contained 5 cards. Two were actually mine. The others were for either KØHR or NØHRY. 3 out of 5 were for another ham? Ouch.

I’m certain that they process thousands of cards and that the work is relatively thankless.
The good news is that one of the cards is from OHØI/OJØ on 30M CW from Market Reef. New one for me brining my DXCC confirmed total to 184.

I haven’t really had a chance to concentrate on DX in quite some time. With the low sunspot count and relatively infrequent mobile activity, my DXing has been about nil. However, I did login recently to see how LOTW stats were doing. Not too bad. Certainly the accuracy is better (I’m not getting anyone else’s cards via LOTW).
