I ordered an adapter (2.5mm Headset/3.5mm Audio Headphone Adapter)
for my Cingular 8125 SmartPhone
. This adapter converts the proprietary 4 conductor audio jack on the PDA to both a 3.5mm audio headphone jack(for use with headphones or speakers or anything else) and to a 2.5mm headset jack. Yesterday it arrived so I gave it a shot today. It seems to work as an easy way to get audio out of the PDA and into my headphones (or anything else). However, I do not have a set of headphones or mic connector that will work with the 2.5mm jack to put audio into the device. So, I’ll have to save that for another day (and another adapter). It’s looking like I should have also ordered this adapter to convert the 2.5mm to both a 3.5mm audio in and out.
