Description: The Moxon antenna was created by British Ham Radio operator Les Moxon, G6XN, as a means of reducing the size of a typical 2 element yagi. It is a directional antenna design that is rectangular and shares some things in common with a Yagi antenna design (use of passive elements and commonly built with wire or aluminum elements) at roughly 70% of the size with a small drop in gain. The Moxon rectangle antenna traces its roots to the VK2ABQ square.
