Ham Radio: Stealth

Description:  Hidden ham radio antenna projects and topics. Some communities restrict the height and type of antennas that ham radio operators may install. Home owners associations (HOAs) make matters worse by enforcing strict rules - sometimes banning outdoor antennas of any type. This section includes ham radio antenna topics that allow amateurs in this situation to construct 'hidden' antennas.

Attic Coaxial-Cable Trap Dipole for 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 80 Meters NU3E

Attic Coaxial-Cable Trap Dipole for 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 80 Meters NU3E.
A coaxial-cable trap dipole antenna installed in the attic provides a surprisingly effective solution to HF operation on the 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 80 meter amateur bands at a QTH with restrictive covenants that prohibit outside antennas.

Bent element yagi for attics Hits: 1599 RATE ME | LINK QRT |

Bent element yagi for attics

Bent element yagi for attics. This is a horzontally polarized three Element Yagi. The bent Elements cause very little performance lose. When you consider it is only 8ft. 5" wide and 7ft. 6" long and still has 6.2dbi gain and 20db front to back ratio. And when you off center feed it you get a perfect 50 ohm match to coaxial cables. The SWR is less than 2to1 for 600khz. Not bad for a Antenna that the neighbors don't even know exist.
