FT-1000 MP

I've used this rig in several contests and have to say that this is one very reliable HF ham radio transceiver. In the heat of battle (CQWW, SS, NAQP, DXing or whatever) you simply can\'t have a radio fail. We have put these through some brutal operating conditions and rarely see an issue.
Some of the Pros of the FT-1000MP are:
- Easy to use: controls are where you would expect them to be and rarely used items are in menus that is relatively easy to learn.
- Built in AC power unit.
- Dual receive works very good
- Overall receive performance is great
- Ability to knock out QRM is really a strong plus
- It\'s a good way to get the best of both worlds: DSP and crystal filters.
Of course, there are a few shortcomings. The noise blankers don\'t seem to effective. Newer rigs will have even more effective DSP processing.
Overall though, this is a very good contester rig.
