The Complete DXer by W9KNI is comparable to having an expert guide with you on a big-game safari... Bob's stories and tips give you an advantage in the hunt of rare DX.
Bob provides a lot of advice that even veteran DXers will appreciate. It's a lot more than just what the hams in the local DX club would tell you ("Listen" and "send greenbacks when QSLing"). Bob presents his methods of actually stalking the DX in a very readable format. You'll go through the hunt with Bob and learn from his mistakes and enjoy his successes.
You really don't need a huge stack of mono-band yagis with a Kalifornia Kilowatt to nail the DX. The tips in this book will teach you how to listen, where to listen, and what to expect in the heat of the DX pile-up. Armed with that knowledge, you'll certainly add to your DXCC total.
Thanks to W9KNI for writing such an entertaining yet instructive book.
