WINKEY CW Keyer

Product Details
The K1EL Winkey is a RS-232 CW generator for MS-Windows based ham radio applications.
The idea is relatively simple... if you try to generate pure, steady morse code on Windows based PC programs that key CW using serial or parallel port lines, you can run into trouble with sputters (inconsistent CW that has annoying pauses).
The K1EL solution resolves this issue by passing characters over RS-232 to the K1EL Winkey board which then generates the morse code version of the letter immediately.

The K1EL Winkey CW keyer is a kit that can take characters from a serial port (from a PC or PDA) and then send steady, reliable Morse Code. It can also be used as a stand-alone keyer once completed.
The kit itself goes together quickly and easily - even beginners should be able to tackle this. Should only take 30 minutes to an hour. However, you will have to construct an enclosure.
It performs as expected. Feel free to set it to QRQ (35+ wpm) or QRS and not worry about inconsistent CW that is often produced from a PC-only solution. It also is a very simple/elegant solution (runs on a 9V battery) and is reasonably priced. A new version is available that works with USB ports. Both are worth a look.
